When fall hits all I can think of are comfort foods like casseroles and jalapeno cheddar sausage biscuits. So I decided to make a keto-fied version based off the standard base I use in my mug cake actually! Super easy and only 1 net carbs per biscuit! Now I’m just brainstorming other combos… What would you put in your biscuit?
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 16-18 minutes
TEMPERATURE: 400º F
RECIPE YIELDS: 6 biscuits
220g ground pork
1/4 tsp italian seasoning
1/4 tsp ground cayenne (optional)
1 tbsp brown swerve
6 tbsp almond flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup grated cheddar
1 tbsp chopped pickled jalapeno
2 sprigs thyme
per 1 biscuits:
1g Net Carbs
2g Total Carbs
- Preheat your oven to 400º F. Prep and measure all your ingredients.
- In a bowl mix together your pork, italian seasoning, cayenne, and brown swerve. In a pan over medium-high heat, brown the meat until cooked thoroughly,
- In another bowl, mix together your almond flour, baking powder and egg. Once well combined, mix In the cheddar, thyme, and jalapenos. Scoop into a lined muffin tin to make 6 biscuits.
- Bake in oven for 16-18 minutes, or until golden brown and center is completely baked. Cool and serve!
