Are you ready for these keto crab avocado cups? So fun fact, I was dying to make a keto crab recipe and used Instacart to order a crab delivery from a local supermarket. What I thought was going to be 2 pounds of crab (like 5 big boys) was actually 20 tiny crabs! So I worked extra hard to boil and peel all this grab for your viewing pleasure! But it was SO WORTH IT. 6 oz Fresh lump crab meat
2 tbsp mayonnaise with avocado oil
2 tsp fresh lime juice + lime wedges
1 large avocado
2 tsp sriracha
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tbsp chopped green onion

Is crab good on keto?

Absolutely, crab on the keto diet is PERFECT. And this keto crab and avocado cup recipe really highlights the crab. They have no carbs and are the best when dipped in butter. I cannot see a more keto protein can you? For the freshest taste, and for fun if you have time, buy them fresh and boil them at home! I remember getting crabs with my Mom from the Thai market when I was a kid. She would sit patiently and lovingly and peel the crab for my sister and I. I have so much respect for her after making this recipe!

Okay, so how do I make keto crab avocado cups?

  1. Mix together the crab, mayonnaise, lime juice and paprika. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Halve the avocado and remove the pit. Take a melon baller or cookie scoop and scoop some of the avocado to make space for the crab mixture. Scoop half of the mixture into each avocado half. Garnish with 1 tsp on sriracha and green onions. Serve with lime wedges and the scooped avocado balls. (I topped with Everything But the Bagel seasoning for fun!)
